How To Buy Meat From Farmers Is Outlined
Washington April . Housewives who wish to buy meat in large quantities directly from farmers may use up to 18 stamps from Ration Book Four ahead of regular validity dates, the Office of Price Administration said today. OPA officials emphasized that advance use of stamps for such buying would not increase the meat rations of persons making use of the plan. They said it simply provides for quantity buying. Stamps A-8 through J-8 are currently valid in retail stores, which makes the next 18 stamps KK-8 through Z-8 and A-S through C-5 good at present for buying meat from farmers. Successively, as other retail stamps are validated, 18 stamps in advance will be good for farm purchases.
