Planning for the Future: City Eyes Oates Property Purchase
The Board of Aldermen authorizes closing an option to buy the Oates property opposite the city light plant on East Street. The plan includes removing a house to widen East Second Street and selling unused land later. City officials believe the deal could cost the corporation nothing and may enable substantial land sales as development follows.
