Harrison Again Mayor of Chicago Defeat blamed on Silk Stocking Defection

Carter H. Harrison Democrat won Chicago mayoralty for the fifth time with about 340000 votes amid drizzling rain. Jaw bone not in coffee fraud case verdict

In Springfield Missouri federal court Dr. T. M. Callan of Kirbyville was fined 25 dollars and costs for fraudulent use of the mails after a coffee company alleged he claimed to find human jaw bone pieces in its product. The case arose from his letter demanding six dollars to suppress a supposed jaw bone discovery.

Lost Will Found Among State Papers In Indianapolis

The long lost will of Ebenezer Dumont was found in the auditor of state vault among state debt sinking fund papers. The document dated 1862 had not been opened and its contents remain unknown. It is believed to have been placed there by mistake by Lamb B. McChesney, former receiver for the sinking fund commission.
