Middletown residents elect three council winners

In Middletown, Rudy Thompson and Fred Rudy along with David Lake won council seats with 223, 221, and 204 votes respectively. Incumbent J Thomas Routzahn faced a recount, finishing with 201 votes after a second tally. Beverly Dixon noted 437 total ballots with 15 absentee and 2 disqualified.

Severe thunderstorms with hail hit Frederick County

A band of severe storms moved through Frederick County Monday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. caused by two fronts clashing. Potomac Edison reported scattered power outages but no major incidents.
