Walkersville firefighter dies after fall from rear step
Walkersville firefighter Winnie Crum, 31, died Thursday from injuries after being thrown from the rear step of a fire truck responding to a chimney fire on Angleberger Road. She was a school bus driver for Frederick County and the first Maryland woman to die in the line of duty. Funeral arrangements to be announced by Stauffer Funeral Home.
