Mayor Ronald N. Young says the city will find a way to match the $3 million state Carroll Creek grant for a $40 million flood control and park project if approved in the Senate. The House passed the grant with terms still to be determined, including potential use of city workers and restrictions on other funding sources. Local Senators Smelser and Derr back the bill, with final conditions to be decided in the Senate.
