Public hearing set on Montgomery water program and hospital plans
The County Council schedules a April 22 public hearing on amendments to the five year water and sewer plan affecting three Upcounty projects Germantown Gellmantown Germantown Park and Montgomery Village with accelerated mains to serve Germantown Park and Charlene subdivision Groundbreaking for the new Montgomery General Hospital is slated for April 20 at 2 30 pm with Governor Mandel expected to attend The $7 8 million facility will have 190 beds expandable to 480 and most costs are from contributions and bonds Overdue library fines rise starting July 1 with adult books at five cents per day and a 20 cent minimum rental charge plus ten cents daily later passages note other local notices
