YMCA Plans Fourth Season Day Camp Led by Roy Okan
Reservations open for the outdoor annual YMCA Day Camp directed by Roy C. Okan principal of County Outdoor School. Four two week sessions start June 22 at a 120 acre site six miles south of Frederick on Ball road. Camp space for 80 boys and girls ages seven to 14 per session with unit leaders and counselors. An intensive search was launched for civilian passengers of a Frisco Railroad train after it was learned a soldier aboard the train may have spinal meningitis. Thirty eight other soldiers traveling in the same car were quarantined for treatment at Ft. Sill. Pvt. Kenneth R. Murray was isolated at a Springfield hospital while authorities seek confirmation. Mrs. H W Turner of Petersburg said her 13 year old daughter sat with one of the soldiers.
