Success Of 24-Year Campaign Makes Milwaukee Safest City
Milwaukee claims the safest streets among large American cities after a 24 year triple-E safety program—engineering enforcement and education. It began with a 1912 safety congress and led to widespread school and industrial safety, fire prevention efforts, and police enforcement reducing deaths and injuries across rail, motor, and other hazards.
