Diabetics find hope in group sessions and video

A Frederick County meeting hosts a 15 minute videotape The Modern Diabetic by the American Diabetes Association parent group. It shows diabetics managing fear and daily routines with simple regimens and peer stories. Attendees discuss new diabetes developments and the value of support networks. A separate Mount Pleasant Club offers a $400 scholarship for local residents and incoming college freshmen with applications due May 15.
