Girl Drowns After Jump From City Bridge
A teen girl identified as Enoch family member Miss Johnson, 16, leaped from the East Newport bridge into the lake around eight PM. Friends searched through the night. her body was recovered Wednesday morning and taken to Drummond’s undertaker room for embalming. An inquest was planned, and the family, including mother and father, mourns the tragedy.
