Tron Mountain railroad reaches Penter's Bluff
Batesville March 22 The first twenty miles of the Tron Mountain extension are complete to Penter's Bluff. The first train ran today and a telegraph office was opened there. Two thousand workers are set to finish the next twenty miles by June. The line will run through the mineral belt for north Arkansas and reach Carthage Missouri.

He served as presid ing elder of the Jonesboro district and was known for blunt honesty and aid to the distressed. He left a widow and four sons and died at age 55, largely confined to his home in recent years. The community mourns his loss.
