Mrs Melie Poskey Dies at Auvergne Home
Mrs. Melie Poskey wife of Henry Poskey died at her Auvergne home August 14 1902 at 10 p m after a congestive chill. She aged about 45 years and had come from Cincinnati Ohio. She is a cousin of E H Yeager and her husband is a brother of Mrs Yeager. Burial was at Walnut Grove cemetery Friday at 3 p m. Sympathy is extended to mourners.

Drowned while bathing Susan Andrews at Confederate Park Bar
Susan Andrews twelve year old daughter of Monroe Andrews drowned in White River at Confederate Park Bar above the city while bathing Monday afternoon. She was swept under by the current and recovered that night by diver John Jones. the family, poor, received aid from local merchants to fund a coffin.

Boy's Remains Identified In Arkansas Train Death
Beebe Arkansas August 18 Mr D Martin of Marshall Texas arrived and identified as his son the 14 year old boy killed by a train near Jacksonville and brought here for burial. The boy left home August 6 and Mr Martin had heard nothing until the news. It is supposed he walked along the tracks sat down to rest and was struck by a fast mail train.
