Dames At Sea Opens Casino Theater Summer Season
The Van Men Casino Theater in Newport opens the summer with Dames at Sea produced by The Players company of New York and brought by Brett Management. Performances run Tuesday through July 8 and the weekend of July 13, with sales of a satire on 1930s Busby Berkeley musicals. Mrs Ethel Littlefield DeBlois age 92 of old Friendship Street widow of William DeBlois died this morning at Newport Hospital after a short illness. Born Portsmouth January 16 1881 she was a daughter of Pitt and Elizabeth Rogers Littlefield. She leaves a daughter Mrs Arthur Albra Jr and a sister Mrs Charles Hyergon both of Middletown, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A service will be held at Hamilton Funeral Home Monday at 11 am with Rev Archie Burdick officiating. Burial will be in Island Cemetery.
