July Fourth events and tennis season open in Jamestown
Jamestown prepares a fireworks display at Fort Getty to usher in the Fourth of July with a holiday buffet at Jamestown Country Club. Festivities include dancing to Tommy Masso's Orchestra and co chaired arrangements by Mrs Foley and Mrs Gobeille. Tennis opens at Conanicut Yacht Club with a tea and eight courts refurbished, and mixed doubles kickoff July 4 under Henry Markut.

In Greenfield Ohio A B Collins owner of a food market found a stolen money bag at his front door containing 15.95 plus a note. The bag had been taken Sunday night and originally contained 25. The note promised to return the remainder later and was signed A L and L C with an apology.

Portsmouth Life Saving Class Opens For Evening Students
