More than 450 dollars of boating gear vanished from three boats over two nights. Richard L. Souza reported 250 dollars in losses at Washington Street Pier including gas tanks, hoses, life jackets, anchors, line, net and tools. Thomas P. Ratfa Sr. reported 180 dollars missing at Goat Island Marina with interior damage and items such as a fishing reel, lifejackets, line, tools, fire extinguisher, sunglasses, a battery radio and binoculars stolen. Donald Gallagher said a six gallon tank and boat ladder were stolen at Goat Island Marina for 32 dollars. Funeral report notes Mrs Argenida Osorio Clarke's service at St Lucy's Church. Cement Worker Injured In Fall At Newport Plant
William Anthony of Newport Ready Mixed Cement Co fell from a truck at 1035 Aquidneck Ave Kilddletown yesterday at 1 p.m. He was admitted to Newport Hospital with a bruised back and is in good condition. James Magret of 160 Broadway fell from a refuse truck at Ruggles Ave and Old Fort Rd about 10:30 a.m. He was admitted for observation of a head injury. A 58-year-old woman escaped injury after a fall at her home. Mrs. Tate Lapsins of 2 Watson St was treated at Newport Hospital after X-rays of a leg and skull. Paula Gatta, 9, of 108 Second St fell at Callender School and was treated for bruises and scrapes at Newport Hospital.
