Clarence Cameron, about 30, a known laborer in telephone and tree work, was electrocuted at 9:30 am while working on a pole near Enos Patten’s residence at the foot of Patten Hill on Male Street Amesbury. A native of Guysboro Ontario, he moved to the United States as a young man and later worked for Boston and Maine during a tunnel project before relocating to Dover New Hampshire and then Amesbury. He had recent ties to the telephone extension project and previously lived at 21 Fair Street Newburyport and the Waverly House, with earlier tree work for Newburyport’s tree warden C P Kelly.
