City Council Aims Newberg Water Extension Plan

At a Monday adjourned meeting the City Council unanimously adopted a plan to move the Newberg water reservoir nearer the town. The new site on the Enos Ellis property will connect to College street, reducing line length and uniting two reservoirs. A reservoir capacity of at least half a million gallons is proposed with a 12 inch main to town. Bonds funds are ready, and the water committee with City Attorney Butt will locate the site and hire an engineer.
