Thompson Guilty in Double Murder Case at Hillsboro
Bennett Thompson was found guilty of the murder of Mrs Helen Jennings at her home between Sherwood and Tualatin on May 15. The Hillsboro jury, retiring 33 minutes, returned a unanimous verdict in Thompson's trial. Authorities link him to the killing of jitney driver Fred Ristman who ferried him from Portland the night of the crimes.
