Meteor Seen Over Oregon Affects Newburg Residents

The Oregonian described a massive daytime meteor seen over western Oregon, possibly five miles above earth, traveling toward the Pacific near Astoria. Professor Daniels estimated it weighed thousands of tons and measured hundreds of feet in diameter, likening it to the largest meteors known.
