A 1930s style critique shows one intoxicated man, Bill, costing the city 18.65 in arresting, detaining, and prosecuting. It contrasts imagined uses for that money with the real expense borne by the city, highlighting the social and fiscal impact of excessive drinking.
Two fall social occasions hosted by Mrs Francis A Morris and Miss Ethel N Morris drew many guests. An afternoon at Mrs Morris home included a prize game and a two course luncheon. Evening festivities at Mr and Mrs W J Morris showcased a hearts game, a congratulatory toast, and a musical program by the Hulls and guests.
The Ladies of The Friends Church announce their annual sale at Crede Market on Saturday December 12 selling fancy work cakes pies and other eatables. Orders for items can be placed before the sale.

A letter from Rev. T L Jones endorses R A Booth for United States Senator in Oregon. Jones praises Booth as an able, honest and temperate leader with deep state knowledge and labor regard, urging voters to support him on November 3, 1915.
The Panama Pacific Exposition may open by Christmas as buildings and arrangements near completion. Efforts aim to further cut expo rail fares with a New York to San Francisco round trip likely under 65 dollars.
Virgil H. Massey Irene Moalett and a young man Charrell indicted for forging checks on the Mc Minnville National Bank. The 16 year old girl and the under 20 male face prison terms with a State Penitentiary sentence for two to twenty years. The girl to the House of Good Shepherds for three years with possible release after two years for good behavior. Erlie Johnson pleaded guilty to lewd cohabitation and was fined fifty dollars, later jailed in Portland for related matters.
A parade promoting the Oregon Dry campaign is set for Saturday at 7 30 p m along North Main Street near the freight depot. Participants include the public school high school and college bands with music and broad public participation invited along the parade line.
