Forgery Indictments Lead to Penitentiary Sentences

Virgil H. Massey Irene Moalett and a young man Charrell indicted for forging checks on the Mc Minnville National Bank. The 16 year old girl and the under 20 male face prison terms with a State Penitentiary sentence for two to twenty years. The girl to the House of Good Shepherds for three years with possible release after two years for good behavior. Erlie Johnson pleaded guilty to lewd cohabitation and was fined fifty dollars, later jailed in Portland for related matters.

Oregon Dry Parade Planned Saturday Evening

A parade promoting the Oregon Dry campaign is set for Saturday at 7 30 p m along North Main Street near the freight depot. Participants include the public school high school and college bands with music and broad public participation invited along the parade line.
