The Twenty second annual convention of the State Woman s Christian Temperance Union of Oregon held October 18 21 at the First Cumberland Presbyterian church in Portland opened with welcoming remarks by Rev Nelson Allen and leaders including Mrs H W Coe Mrs P J Mann Mrs Lucia Addison and Miss Frances Gotshall The state president Mrs Harford delivered her annual address and the music was by the Cumberland Presbyterian church choir An officer report stated a membership of 1500 and 200 honorary members with encouragement throughout the gathering.

Yamhill County Teachers Institute at McMinnville Court House

The Yamhill County Teachers Annual Institute meets November 16 17 and 18 at the McMinnville court house with a school officers meeting on November 19 at 10 o’clock.
