Knights and Ladies of Security Reorganized With 27 New Members

The Knights and Ladies of Security, long a small order, re organized on Wednesday night after a canvass by District Deputy George Mackie adding 27 new members. Officers installed include President William R Galland and Vice Presidents Earl Kallen Scott Livengood with Miss Bell Shaw as prelate and Wm B Brooks as financier and secretary. The group originated in Topeka Kansas in 1892 and now numbers over 300000 with 3000 Local Councils and Newberg’s charter No 168. Mr and Mrs Mackie will remain a few days to finish work then move to Salem for winter headquarters.

Community Thanksgiving Service at West Chehalem Church

West Chehalem church invites the community to a Thanksgiving day program with a 10 30 a m service led by the pastor.
