The Centralia lynching case previously identified as Britt Smith is now believed by the Everest family to involve Wesley Everest, a 26 year old former resident who lived with uncle O B Westfall and had ties to I W W activities in Marshfield. The Graphic notes multiple family connections and indicates the victim may be Wesley Everest, son of Joseph Everest and Dora Westfall.
