Mayor urges local businesses to close on June fifth to join regional celebration for the Lewis and Clark Exposition. Newberg and neighboring towns will use the Oregon State Building and Festival Hall with the Administration band to showcase development and welcome visitors during the fair.
A Monday Board of Trade meeting outlined plans for Newberg Day at Festival Hall during the fair. June 5 marks the event for Dallas Dayton Newberg and nearby Yamhill line communities with transportation and road improvements discussed and committees formed to secure funds and coordinate exhibits.
The County Court of Yamhill County Oregon appoints J S Courtney administrator for Clara M. Davidson, deceased. Creditors must present claims within six months at J B Mount Hardware Newberg or at the Port land office, with vouchers. Mrs J B Mount acts as agent to receive claims and receipts. Dated May 18 1905. Samuel M Garland attorney for administrator.
The flower committee of the Ladies Auxiliary seeks many roses for opening day and Newberg Day on June 5 at the Fair. Please contribute by bringing roses to the depot Thursday morning June 1 or to any committee member Wednesday. On Newberg Monday morning the committee will take charge. Committee members include Mrs. G. W. Cutts, Mrs. H. B. Clough, Mrs. N. C. Maris, Mrs. F. A. Morris, Mrs. E Larkin, Mrs. Geo. Larkin, Mrs. Lin Parker, Mrs. Frank.
