Oregon to Exhibit at Northwest Products Exposition in Minneapolis

Minneapolis to host seven state booths at north west expo

Minneapolis and St. Paul business interests purchased $15000 of space for a regional exposition under league auspices similar to last year’s Land Show in St. Paul. The seven state booths will measure fifty by ten feet with twelve by fifty back walls, featuring Minnesota North Dakota South Dakota Montana Idaho Washington and Oregon. The governor may appoint a commission to coordinate exhibits ensuring equal access for all counties cities and land companies.

Wong John versus Hodges court action on horse claim

Wong John a Chinaman living near Newberg gained a partial victory before Judge Campbell at Hillsboro when the entire answer was stricken from the files on motion. Hodges Sherwood Livery keeper received certain horses from the Washington County sheriff by attachment in a separate case but later claimed a lien for feeding and caring for them after selling the horses. Attorney Chapin represented Hodges and was given ten days to draft a new answer.
