Robbers Take $47,000 From Two-Horse Rig Near Rawhide
In Reno Nevada March 24 three heavily armed men overpowered Edward Hoffman and an accomplice two miles from Rawhide. They threw them to the ground and fled in the victims two horse rig with gold and bank notes totaling about 47000. The money was sent to the Coalition Mining company at Rawhide to pay miners and cover a property payment. Posses are pursuing.

Marine Casualties Reported Off New World Coast
A Boston report states about 350 lives were lost in marine disasters during the fall and winter. Among the dead are 261 crewmen from ten French St Pierre fishing fleet vessels wrecked near the Grand Banks. About 25 Newfoundland fishermen perished in the storms.

Albany man convicted of deer meat violation in game law case
Albany George W.
