Announcement and Prospectus of Friends' Pacific Academy
Friends' Pacific Academy in Newberg Oregon sits on the Porthand and Willamette Valley railroad twenty two miles from Portland and one mile from Rogers Landing on the Willamette river. It opened for pupils September 28 1885 with nineteen in the first week then 26 in 1886 and fifty one in the present school year with 110 in winter term. The building was partly completed at opening. halls and dormitories were added in summers 1856 1887 and the gymnasium and dormitory hall were begun and the Academy building completed.
