Friends' Pacific Academy Aims to Expand in Oregon
Located at News 4 lLeounty Oregon along the Portland and Willamette Valley rail line, the Friends' Pacific Academy opened Sept 28 1855 with nineteen pupils. The second year began Nov 18 1886 with twenty six, the current seven year began Sept 12 1887 with fifty one, and winter term Dec 3 had 110 pupils. By 1887 the gymnasium hall and dormitories were started and the academy building completed. Trustees plan further buildings as needed.
