Supreme Court upholds Utah juror bias ruling in crime case
The Supreme Court sustained a territorial Utah court ruling overruling a juror challenge. The juror admitted reading newspaper reports of the crime and said impressions could be removed by testimony, challenging the idea that only those who never read papers can serve. Elsewhere, Grant county sheepmen faced a hostile reception on the South Fork, with wagons burned and supplies worth 1500 dollars seized before intruders fled Crook county. A notice from Mrs. Remick, spent two years in Oregon, notes her well known presence in Newberg and a Whittier Register item. Evangelist Mrs. Lida Remick preached at Friends church last Sunday.
