Citizens Warn Newberg Over Chicago Portrait Co

In a local notice residents recount their encounter with Chicago Portrait Co representatives unfairly taking and later demanding payment for enlarged photos. They warn others to be cautious and urge business practices be held to account to protect the vulnerable.

Wood bids sought by district for split fir and oak

Baptist meeting house to be dedicated June 28

The new Baptist meeting house will be formally dedicated Sunday morning June 28. Rev. Geo. R. Varney of McMinnville will preach the sermon and again in the evening on The Stuff that Stands and With-Stands. The public is invited. P. C. Stannard, Pastor.

Bijou Amusement At Duncan Opera House

Crowds now follow evening entertainment at the Bijou on the first floor of the Duncan Opera House building. Manager C C Allen & Son present moving pictures and illustrated songs. Programs change Monday Wednesday and Friday evenings. Admission is ten cents for adults and five cents for children under ten.
