Twenty-Second Oregon Yearly Meeting of Friends Opens
The twenty second annual Oregon Yearly Meeting of Friends church opened in Newberg with J C Hodson as presiding clerk and Marguirete Elliott as reading clerk. Delegates from quarterly meetings were announced and committees formed to address visiting ministers letters to aged members and auditing. W C T U Flower Mission Day Picnic Planned
The W C T U Flower Mission Day picnic will be held June 24 at Mrs Bassett home. Committees plan an afternoon program and a noon lunch on the lawn. Bouquets with Scripture text cards tied in white ribbon will be made in the forenoon and sent to the sick newcomers and shut ins. Members bring baskets and flowers and arrive at 10 AM for a pleasant day.

State Convention of Christian Churches Plans Oregon Meeting
The Christian churches of Oregon will hold their twenty fourth annual convention at Turner July 8 to 16. The group owns 10 acres with a 2000 seat tabernacle and drew 600 delegates last year with over 1000 in attendance. About 130 congregations and 18 000 members exist in the state, inviting a delegate from every church.
