Newberg Peace Celebration Features Pageantry and Plans
A Newberg peace celebration drew crowds with an American pledge in Edwards oak grove. Miss Sarah Knight served as Goddess of Peace while Misses Heater, Woodward, Mackie, Bass, Gause and Paulson accompanied her. Local sports, fireworks, and a Scholls vs Newberg baseball game capped the day as Friends church plans to host Oregon Yearly Meeting activities with ministers from Ohio Illinois and California attending.
