South Sea Island lecture by Evangelist Cady draws large crowd

Free public recital of college music pupils announced

The first public recital by college music pupils is set for Monday evening February 24 at 7 30 in Wood Mar Hall. Miss Blythe Owen will perform MacDowell and Debussy pieces, and Miss Virginia Moore will accompany with a reading. The event is free and open to all. The recital will be held on March 10.

Birthday Surprise for J. B. Crozier

Neighbors gathered Saturday evening at the Craig Duer place northwest of Newberg to celebrate J. B. Crozier’s birthday. They presented a graphonola, shared refreshments, and Miss Fay Hawley brought a cake decorated with pussy willows and lilacs, marking Crozier as seventy three years young.

Pacific International Livestock Exposition Organized for 1932

Leading dairymen and livestock breeders from Oregon Idaho Washington and Montana reorganize to form the Pacific International Livestock Exposition board. The 1932 show and sales will be held in a new expo building at a cost of 250000 dollars with stock subscriptions totaling about 150000 dollars to be raised beginning February 24. County subscriptions by Willamette Valley counties are listed with specific amounts and the state total stock in Oregon is noted. Portland pledges to match all upstate county subscriptions.

Shorthorn Bull Bound for Japan and Big Local Sales
