Yamhill Ministers to Attend Interchurch Conference in Portland
Ministers from Yamhill county will join the State Pastors Training Conference organized by the Interchurch World Movement at the White Temple in Portland March 3 to 6. It is the first interdenominational state pastors conference in Oregon with many national leaders, and attendance is growing among Protestant pastors. Inquiries have been sent to all pastors in the state. Local attendees include Rev. C. L. Trawin, Rev. W. E. Shirey, Rev. J. D. Abel, Rev. W. N. Coffee, Rev. George H. Lee, Rev. Fred Carter, Rev. A high school girls quartet led America and the Star Spangled Banner with piano from Cora Diedericks and Miss Jones. Mrs Snow read Gettysburg Address, Rev Gibson spoke eloquently, and only a few attended. Reporter notes patriotism but laments low turnout.
