Forest Grove H S Defeated 33 to 17 in Basketball Match
Last Friday night the Forest Grove High School basketball team fell 33 to 17 to the home team. Miller, new center after Allan quit, starred. Principal W L Avant was ill from eye strain after a physics experiment. A reception followed the game for new students with light refreshments and games.

Benefit Concert at Pacific College In Wood-Mar Hall
Pacific College students sell tickets for a chorus concert in Wood-Mar hall Friday night February 12 at 8. Proceeds go to the college piano fund as negotiations for a new grand piano near completion. The Willamette Amateur Athletic Club basketball team traveled to Hillsboro to play Hillsboro High School, narrowly losing 28 to 29 with Hillsboro securing the extra point. The Newberg players praised Hillsboro as fine hosts and clean competitors, and W A A C proper conduct was noted. A return game is planned in Newberg, with social activities encouraged and plans to grow the club’s social side alongside athletics under Captain Joel Nelson and others.

M. J. Pinney Dies After Sudden Illness at Lumber Yard
