A Tuesday evening YMCA style event at the Baptist church raised funds for the Newberg Young People’s Christian Endeavor Union. The social featured a cherry game with group rhymes, Valentine auction, and a pie and candy sale, plus a hymn sing planned near the post office.
The audience at Wood-Mar hall Friday night of last week enjoyed the closing lyceum number by Ye Olde Towne quartet. The male quartet drew strong interest and was well balanced, leaving many expressions of satisfaction that indicate a full house if they return.
