Salvation Army to establish outpost program in western states
The Salvation Army plans to launch a 1920 Home Vice Program in Oregon and six Western states. Admiral Karen Christenson Dies at Ninety in Newberg
Karen Kristine Christenson died at her daughter’s home in Newberg on Sunday. Born in Denmark on February 28, 1854, she would have turned ninety if she lived to March 3. She emigrated with Hans Christensen in 1858 and lived on a West Chehalem farm before moving to Newberg. Funeral services were held at Hodson & Elliott chapel conducted by F. C. Stannard with burial in West Chehalem.
