Obituary of William Thun of Dundee Dies at 87

William Thun born in 1848 in Germany died December 15 at his Dundee home from stomach cancer after a short illness. A Port land hospital operation yielded no relief. He married Marie Baumiller in 1872. they emigrated to America in 1873 and settled in Minnesota and other states before moving to Oregon in 1888. They lived in Wasco and Tillamook counties before Dundee for thirteen years. Nine children and ten grandchildren survived. funeral services were held at the home by Rev. Erskin of the Dundee Methodist church.

William Emerson Fortune born March 24 1860 in Coshocton County Ohio died December 17 1912 in Newberg Oregon aged 52 years 8 months 23 days He moved with his family to Putnam County Missouri at 16 married D Emma Rorabaugh at 25 and had five children In 1902 he moved to Newberg where he lived He joined the Christian church in winter 1898 He leaves a wife five children two grandchildren two brothers and two sisters Funeral services were held at the Christian church Thursday afternoon conducted by Rev George C Rithey The family expresses appreciation for sympathy and help in their bereavement
