Fisk Jubilee Singers History and World Tours
The Fisk Jubilee Singers formed in 1871 at Fisk University Nashville with Jubilee Day recalling its founding. They funded Fisk for years, faced disbandment, then continued as a livelihood for members. The group toured Europe eight times, visited Germany Russia and Nordic countries, and sang before presidents, royalty, and educators. Charles Mumford has guided them for eighteen years as manager.
