Various town updates on residents, roads, telephones, and a bank robbery nearby with $14,000 taken.
The High School held a declamatory contest in Duncan’s hall with Priores and Zeta Alpha rivals decorating halves of the hall in gold maroon and orange green. Miss Maude Gregory (Zeta Alpha) won first honors as judges Dr Harold Senator Caldwell and J C Hodson awarded top prize. Proceeds benefit the school piano fund. heat was supplied generously by Mr Duncan. A debate on government ownership of railroads is planned with first and second teams to be chosen. A 16 member High School Glee Club will be organized to support future programs.
