Pretty Double Wedding at Metolius Oregon Home

A double wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Buehler near Metolius Oregon at 7 PM on November 28. The ceremony paired Luella and Ida Boehler with Albert Koehler and Herman Kludas under a double arch with fern and flower decor. Newberg Boys Robbed in Portland

W S Pleasant and C L Chase were robbed at the Foster Hotel Portland of about thirty dollars a watch and shoes. They wake to find a break in and learn two men registered as A L Moser and J Murray accessed their room via a fire escape to enter.

Miss Sibyl Woodward leads a social gathering at the Friends church on Saturday evening for young ladies of the church. W. C. T. U. Meeting Promises Parliamentary Law Course

The W. C. T. U. legal department held a Wednesday afternoon meeting at Mrs. George Best home with good attendance. A parliamentary law course, taught by Mrs. Lillie Welter, drew interest and is expected to succeed. Meetings are the fourth Wednesday monthly, next at Mrs. I. A. Hanning’s on Illinois street December 18.

Suit Won by Miller Over North Main Street Home

H. W. Miller former owner of Chehalem Valley Mills won a suit for recovery of his North Main street home valued at about 3500. The property had been traded for goods at Coquille and re deeded back to Miller after alleged fraud by defendants McCormick and Garman. Deeds were recorded last week and Miller received damages for travel time and costs. Attorney B A Kirks moved to dismiss. Miller plans to continue in business at Coquille.

Silhouette Party Held by The Wednesday Club

The Wednesday Club hosted a silhouette party at the Terrell residence on Friday evening with husbands of members as guests. Clever silhouettes entertained, a spelling contest led by Mrs Hodson won, and Mrs J D Gordon was noted for quick spelling. Mrs Hollingsworth recited a Christmas piece as refreshments were served. The club plans several social events this winter.
