Newberg Votes to Purchase Otis Springs for Water
Citizens of Newberg approve buying the Otis springs two and a half miles east for 2750 dollars. The purchase adds twelve to eighteen springs with a combined capacity of 684000 gallons daily, boosting city water flow near 730000 gallons with adjoining Guard springs. City officials consider two setup options and estimate costs around 16036 dollars for a direct pipeline or a new reservoir scheme, with pumping required in either case.
