Dr. W J Littlefield died after days of illness from spinal meningitis in Newberg Oregon His death ends a long brave fight and comes as a shock to the community Funeral services were held at the Friends church with large attendance including many dignitaries from nearby towns The obituary notes his extensive medical practice in Newberg and his service as surgeon on the United States Revenue Cutter Perry He leaves a wife two daughters and a young son and the community extends deep sympathy.
