Snake stories fade as color and size details vanish
Since July 1, snake tales have fallen out of favor and may never regain their former vividness. Even in museums, color and size specifics will be scarce and fewer intriguing traits will appear. W. A. M. Vaughan of Goodyear, once in charge of Sumatra rubber plantations, saved three enormous python skins 14, 17, and 21 feet long obtained from natives during jungle clearing, now kept as souvenirs of industrial conquest.
