University Lyceum Course Returns to New Ulm
The Current News Club renews plans for a four-event season at the High School Assembly Room from October to January with free rent. Meyer Ten Broeck and Otto Meyer open the series on October 16 followed by the Faust Opera Singers, a Bigelow lecture December 20, and University Players in January. Tickets go on sale now for season holders.

More than two thousand people gathered in Fairfax to celebrate St. John's Lutheran church 25th anniversary and the completion of its new church. Delegations from Wellington Ridgely Gibbon Moltke Eden and New Ulm attended. The service featured Rev Boettger Rev Plocher and Rev Koehler with remarks by Rev Hilbert, the original pastor, now blind. The New Ulm male choir plus Fairfax musicians performed, and a Ladies Aid dinner and supper followed.

The German Aid Society unit of the National Central Verein will hold its annual meeting in Sleepy Eye September 24 to 26 with about 300 delegates and many Minnesota lay attendees. A special train from the Twin Cities arrives 11:45 a.m. and departs at 8 p.m. The event is led by Rev. J Klein and others, with services Sunday by Sleepy Eye priests and visits from Bishops Busch and Trobec.

A preliminary meeting in the Assembly Room Friday aims to finalize enrollment for the year. Czech Sokol Convention Planned for June in City
Hopkins gears up for the Sokol Convention to be held in the city late next June. The event spans two days with a Sunday gymnastic exhibition after a monster parade. Band Chooses Name for Ex Regiment Ensemble
