Young Man Loses Eye In Lead Pellet Accident
Tony Wiesner narrowly avoided serious injury after a street accident near the State Bank as Otto Berbrich and Peter Car's cars swerved close. Wiesner, lifting himself by a water tank and gripping a headlight, confronted the drunken driver and caused a stop. Mrs Liesch narrowly escaped when her auto moved suddenly, crushing her but leaving her alive. A second incident on Lake Hansks left Fred Flor permanently blind in one eye from a No 6 pellet fired at birds, the shot piercing the eye and prompting its removal the next morning. Flor, 20, is employed at Hanaka Machines & Implement Co.
