Youth Admits Stealing Goods From Sleepy Eye Store
Ira Koberstein, 19, confessed to stealing goods valued at $150 from the Standard Store at Sleepy Eye on August 20. Police report the loot was found in his father William Koberstein’s haymow, after a farm accident led to discovery. He waived preliminary hearing and pleaded guilty to larceny and burglary charges.

The A. J. Vogel Lumber Co staged a bean guessing contest drawing about 700 entrants. A concealed empty jar inside the container increased difficulty. Robbers Loot Comfrey Store in Night Heist
The Erickson and Trautman general store in Comfrey was robbed Thursday night, with goods valued between four and five thousand dollars taken.
