Plans Outlined For Festival Old Settlers Picnic Date Set
The Junior Pioneers committee outlined this year’s Old Settler’s Festival to be held Sunday September 1 at Turner Hall Park. Eligibility for the old settler badge is limited to those who arrived in the area in 1874 or earlier and are at least six years old, with Mayor Fritecheg to give the welcome address. The Second Regiment Band will supply music and the program will include a German speech and physical culture numbers.

Drunken stranger jailed then released on promise to leave town
