Auto Struck by Freight Car on Third North Street
A Ford touring car carrying Mr and Mrs John Arndt their children Sylvester John Evelyn and Mrs John Saffert with two daughters Helen Marie was struck by a moving freight car on the M and St L house track at Third North Street. The crash dragged the auto 50 to 60 feet causing serious injuries to the occupants. Mrs Saffert and her children escaped injury.

Blaze damages local hostelry in early Monday fire

Mrs. Carrie Anderson, a former Philippine teacher, shared experiences from her five years there in a Turner Hall evening program.
